AOII Awards Banquet at Jimmie Austin – An Eventective User from Norman, OK

This venue is amazing! It is so open and beautiful, looking out onto the golf course. At night, it is even better. The bistro lights transform the outdoor area and make it into a beautiful place to dance and mingle. Also, Shelly is amazing. As a college student, she made this process so simple for me and when I arrived to set up, I only had to finish the final touches that I had brought as everything else was set up. We held my wife’s 50th birthday party here and it was amazing. The venue was well organized from table setups to the food being served. The TVs for a slide presentation were great along with the sound system for music to dance to. The facility is beautiful inside and out.

Jimmie Austin Gulf Club is an excellent venue regardless of what the occasion may be. Shelley is an Awesome person and very pleasant, and enjoyable to work with. My daughter’s wedding and reception was beautiful!! Shelly delivered on everything ask of her. The venue was decorated as per Tee’ request and mine too. The food was delicious,, and the setup for food and drinks were done quite nicely. The outdoor decorations and seating provided even more space for guest to enjoy the landscaping with ample space for dancing. We received many compliments on the venue and Shelly’ work. Very professional, engaging, experienced, and Shelly’ ask questions and listens. I personally give five stars on the venue and five stars for Shelly!! Thank you so much

The rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride was just perfect at the Jimmie Austin Everest Event Center! The ambiance of this lovely location is so special, and it is a quaint and special setting nestled in Norman. The trees, lights and windows made for the most charming location and Shelly was over the top in professionalism and friendliness. She went above and beyond to make the evening amazing, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She is so knowledgeable, helpful and kind. If you are looking for a beautifully unique place to host an event, you should absolutely select this spot. It was the definitely a memory we will always treasure!

Cannot say enough about this wonderful wedding venue. We were married at Jimmie Austin in August of 2020, and also had the reception on site. Shelley, the wedding coordinator at Jimmie Austin took great care of us during the entire process, and worked around not only our schedules, but around restrictions due to Covid-19. They were very flexible and gave us a day to remember. Also, the Jimmy Austin vendors were top notch. Thank you to the entire Jimmie Austin team!

This was the perfect place for my daughter’s wedding! It was everything she wanted & more. Shelly, the event coordinator was wonderful. She planned, decorated, cleaned up & did everything in between. The venue was beautiful inside & out, including the table centerpieces, the cake table, guestbook table, sweetheart table, and moving the dancing outside worked out great under the globe lights. It was elegant yet comfortable. Thank you Shelly for a wonderful day & all the Covid precautions. It was a perfect fall wedding.

I cannot recommend Jimmie Austin Golf Club enough. Shelly is the coordinator that COMES WITH the space and she made my vision for our day exactly what I wanted it to be. She was there for the day of as well and made sure that everything ran smoothly. The space comes with everything you need from chairs to linens, and if they don’t have exactly what you want, Shelly will work with you to make your specific vision come to life. They have great catering options as well that you can choose from as well as a range of drink packages. Not only does this venue include a ton, it is also incredibly well priced. It is a very affordable option but DOES NOT look cheap by any means. I could seriously go on and on about how positive of an experience getting married here was and would not hesitate to recommend it for any event but especially a wedding! Getting married during a pandemic was a tough choice to follow through with, but they made sure that everything was safe for our guests. We did end up cutting our guest list down, but that was more of a personal choice. We had outdoor and indoor seating options during the reception and our dance floor was all outside. We chose to get married outside under the provided pergola and it was beautiful.

This is the best kept secret in Norman! Shelly is so easy to work with and very helpful. The venue was beautiful, able to open up or be closed depending on our needs and wishes. The fire pit was a huge hit as was the space we could have for outdoor games and dancing. Shelly does the decorating so we did not have not to worry about doing that or cleaning up. She has a variety of centerpieces and linens from which we could choose. We also had the ability to customize those decorations if we chose to. The food was delicious and everyone raved about it. It’s on a golf course, so the views were stunning. We highly recommend this venue and Shelly.

Shelly, the venue coordinator, is an absolute angel and made the planning process for our reception at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club a breeze. This location is intimate and beautiful, perfect for weddings both big and small. COVID-19 precautions were taken seriously with the safety of both guests and staff in mind, and our concerns were always prioritized. We received so many compliments from our guests for this venue, including for the dinner buffet and the bar service. Additionally, the price for this venue was such an amazing deal! Thousands cheaper than we expected. It truly is a secret treasure in Norman. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Thank you Shelly!
